The Livonia City FC Story
"Bringing Soccer and Community Together"
Background: The club itself is reaching its 6th year alive and even though it has been nothing short of hard to get started, the club is performing better than ever. Craig Beebe, the owner of Livonia City FC, founded and created the club his first year out of college. With a marketing/business background, a love of the game and a resident in Livonia City he thought the area needed something they could all cheer about, this is why he created the club. As mentioned before the club is going from strength to strength each year, attracting tougher opponents and more exposure from the NPSL (National Premier Soccer League) community. The club is looking to increase its value and aim higher than they have gone before. With plans being drawn up for entering the NPSL in 2021, the club is attracting the right sort of attention due to results and attitude on the field to make this dream become a reality.

Livonia City FC: The mission of the club is still being implemented since the birth of this organization. Livonia thrives on promoting the game of soccer throughout the community of Livonia and Michigan. The club has gone from growth to growth each year, last year being their most successful and making the amateur nationals tournament in Florida. The club wants to bring the love of the game, soccer, and the atmosphere they share to every team or state they play in/against.

The UniformThe uniform for the Livonia City team as been the generic blue and gold for its first five years of establishment. However, last season the club opted for a change. The club brought in a grey home shirt with the blue shorts still a theme, but it was the away shirt that was gaining the club attraction. The pink away jersey which was a strong decision made by the marketing team, however, it has paid off for the club with many outside buyers investing and buying their extra shirts to raise money for the club due to its different nature.

The logo and crestThe logo for the club changed just after the jersey's did. With the top image being the traditional logo for the club during its first five years, this showed off the crest which has been affiliated with the Livonia City area. However, as of 2018 the club gained some help from social media company known as Bold Media and came up wth the new logo (bottom image). The image shows the cold times within the Michigan area but shows that even though the club experiences very cold times, they are still willing to fight no matter the weather.

Craig Beebe, the owner, founder and creator of Livonia City FC. This young president founded the club in 2014 with the sole purpose of bringing soccer to the community of Livonia and hopefully to South Michigan. The former CMU (Central Michigan University) graduate has been involved in soccer all of his life from a young age playing club level, to also playing club level at CMU.
When Craig graduated he wanted to carry on his soccer career, not as a player, but as an owner and he believed that he owed something to the his home town of Livonia. Therefore, in 2014 Livonia City was created and is taking big steps each year to achieve its dream. The club currently resides in the MPSL (Michigan Premier Soccer League), however, they want to take it that step further. In 2017 Craig created his own board of directors at the club to help with his plan for 2021 which is to become an NPSL (National Premier Soccer League) team. This is a big step for any club because this means more exposure, better players, higher standard and more investment in to the club. With 2021 fast approaching Craig is quick to react to every opportunity that comes the club's way and with more and more companies now interested in investing in Livonia City FC it seems as though this club will be ahead of its due date. 2019 and 2020 are about to be big years for the club and with Craig as the president, it can only go forward. |
